Vice President of Finance

Heidi Pulkkinen was recently promoted to Vice President of Finance at The Bridge of Central Massachusetts.

A Bridge employee since 2000, Heidi has served in various roles over the years, most recently as the director of fiscal services overseeing the business office.  In her new role, she will oversee all accounting and cash management activity, supervise a staff of five and prepare approximately sixty program budgets totaling $30 million annually.

“The opportunity for growth at The Bridge has been outstanding,” says Heidi.  “It’s one of the reasons I’ve been here for so many years, and it’s why I stay.   The other reason is the people!”

Suzanne “Suzy” E. Langevin, LICSW

Suzanne “Suzy” Langevin recently accepted a promotion and was named Director of Dual Diagnosis Services at The Bridge of Central Massachusetts.

Suzy has served as Assistant Director of Illness Management and Recovery  (IMR,  an evidence-based practice for individuals with mental health challenges) since 2010.  To address the growing need for more active support for individuals who are dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders, The Bridge created this new position, according to The Bridge President and CEO Kenneth J. Bates.  Suzy has led the Dual Diagnosis Task Force for the past two years.

“It’s really gratifying to have the opportunity to expand and improve the services we already provide,” says Suzy.  “The vision is to integrate a focus on substance abuse into our already impressive array of services.”

Prior to joining The Bridge, Suzy worked for Justice Resource Institute’s support contract for the Department of Youth Services, Edinburg Center Emergency Services Program and McLean Hospital. She also volunteers with the advisory team for RIA House, which serves adult female survivors of commercial sexual exploitation.

She holds a Master of Social Work from Boston College School of Social Work, and a Bachelor of Arts in English (cum laude) from Boston College.
