New Appointments at The Bridge, January 2017

The Bridge of Central Massachusetts announces the following changes in management.

Veronica Ziemba, MSN, RN
Director of Nursing

Veronica Ziemba was recently promoted to Director of Nursing at The Bridge of Central Massachusetts.

2017 marks Veronica’s twentieth year in the nursing profession.  She brings her extensive background to manage
the nursing staff, who oversee the medical needs across the Bridge community.  As a team, they monitor medication
administration, provide training, and make recommendations to the staff regarding medical supports.  In addition
to supporting individuals’ medical needs, Veronica is dedicated to furthering her staff’s education, by encouraging them
to gain more specialized certifications in line with The Bridge’s programmatic needs.

“My passion for helping those in need started early in my life,” says Veronica.  “I am pleased to have the
opportunity to use my education, knowledge and diverse background to assist The Bridge in continuing to expand its programs and services.”

Veronica brings a wealth of experience to her role.  Prior to joining The Bridge, she was the
Director of the Practical Nursing Program at Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High
School in Charlton, MA.   She was the Lead Instructor/Clinical-Classroom Instructor at Stone
Academy in East Hartford, CT., and Medical Coordinator at the Center of Hope Day Habilitation Program in Southbridge, MA.  

Prior to becoming a nurse, Veronica gained experience volunteering for Special Olympics, where she first supported
individuals with physical and cognitive disabilities.

She earned a Master of Science in Nurse Education at University of Hartford, and holds a Bachelor of Science
degree in Nursing from Worcester State College

Alicia Stacy, MPA, BSW
North County Division Director

Alicia Stacy recently joined The Bridge as North County Division Director at The Bridge of Central Massachusetts.

In this role, Alicia is responsible for the oversight of the adult mental health programs in the northern part of the Worcester County.
Prior to joining The Bridge, Alicia was the Director of Parent Support Programs at the YWCA of Western Massachusetts.  A former
resident of Florida, she brought her expertise back to New England after working at the Leadership Broward Foundation and for 
Kids in Distress – Fort Lauderdale, where she held a variety of supervisory positions.

She feels The Bridge plays an instrumental role in the lives of the individuals they support, and is excited and honored to be a part of such a caring and supportive team. 

She earned her Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Social Work degrees from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.
