The Bridge Awarded Highest Rating in CARF Survey

WORCESTER, Mass. (September 12, 2017) – The Bridge of Central Massachusetts

The Bridge recently received three-year accreditation through the Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).

CARF is an independent, nonprofit organization focused on advancing the quality of services provided by organizations like The Bridge.

CARF provides accreditation services worldwide at the request of health and human service providers. Providers that meet CARF standards have demonstrated their commitment to being among the best available.

“We are delighted to receive the results,” says Ken Bates, president and CEO of The Bridge. “They spent a great deal of time looking carefully at our methods and programs, and the three year accreditation underscores our commitment to providing quality care to all the people we support.”

This is the first time The Bridge has sought accreditation through CARF and to achieve three-year accreditation on our first survey is remarkable. Among other strengths, the survey report cited:

* Consumer satisfaction with services,

* The use of evidence-based practices and outcome measures

* Services provided on a foundation of strength-based person-centered planning, incorporating the principles of recovery and resilience,

CARF surveyors also highlighted The Bridge’s role in helping people build more fulfilling lives with independence and self-worth.

These are only a few of the many strengths of The Bridge which were cited in the report. The survey also identified some areas where we can improve, which we are working to address.

Accreditation is the gold standard for organizations like The Bridge, demonstrating our commitment to providing the best possible services and support for the people we serve.
