Ken Bates, president and CEO of Open Sky Community Services in Worcester, has been named to the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers board of directors, a statewide association, Open Sky announced on Thursday.

AADP focuses on issues related to developmental and intellectual disabilities, autism and brain injury services. The organization provides financial and political advocacy, as well as professional development opportunities for its members, which exceed 130, per the announcement.
Bates has served as president and CEO of Open Sky since it was formed in 2018 from the merger of The Bridge of Central Massachusetts in Worcester and Alternatives Unlimited in Whitinsville. Before the merger, Bates was president & CEO of The Bridge.
