WHITINSVILLE, Mass. – ValleyCAST, the arts and culture arm of Open Sky Community Services, is partnering with the New England Sculptors Association to create The third annual Inside and Out Exhibition. This year 30 sculptors from all around New England have submitted over 40 works that will be seen inside the Spaulding R. Aldrich Heritage Gallery, 50 Douglas Road, Whitinsville, and outside on the grounds of the Whitin Mill complex at the same address. Thirteen works are already installed on the grounds for people to enjoy.

The inside exhibit of 28 works will open with live music and a catered wine and cheese reception on Friday, Jan. 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The Curator’s Choice Award will be presented at the opening.

The public is encouraged to come explore the grounds and the gallery to see all the incredible work “Inside and Out” and then to vote for their favorites by casting a ballot inside the gallery beginning with the opening and up to when the voting ends on Friday, Feb. 16.

The public is also encouraged to attend the closing reception, which will include the announcement of the three People’s Choice Awards, on Friday, Feb. 23, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibit will end right after the closing ceremony.

Regular gallery hours for this exhibit will be held Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day and on Monday, Feb. 19, for Presidents Day. Visits outside of regular gallery hours are by appointment only by contacting cristi.collari@openskycs.org or mary.laliberte@openskycs.org or by calling the front desk at 508-234-6232.
