Volunteer with Open Sky!
Open Sky welcomes individuals and groups who are interested in donating their time and skills to our programs, services, events and offices. Through volunteering, we strive to strengthen relationships within our communities as well as provide our programs with an additional resource who contributes their time, skills and knowledge. At Open Sky, we believe that engaging community members and experiencing a broad spectrum of unique and different perspectives serves to enhance our services!
We have a variety of volunteer roles and would love to work with you to find an opportunity that meets your needs and interests!

Volunteer Opportunities
One-Day Opportunities
Open Sky holds many fundraising and community-based events throughout the year! Volunteers are needed to help with set up and break down, registration, photography, and many other roles!
Other one-day roles might include organizing donations, or providing a training on an area of expertise.
Ongoing Opportunities
With over 100 programs throughout Central Massachusetts, there are many ongoing volunteer roles for those interested in volunteering on a regular basis. Some roles include administrative tasks such as organizing or photocopying, as well as leading activities for individuals with behavioral health diagnoses, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and those facing other complex challenges.
Another ongoing opportunity is our Club 21 program! Club 21 is a social group where you can “change lives by having fun!” Each Club is made up of approximately 10 adults with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges (Recovery Members) plus an equal number of members from the community (Discovery Members). Learn more about Club 21 here.
