ValleyCAST Monthly Art Cart Workshops – June

Join us at ValleyCAST every month for a fun, FREE, and creative art workshop!

Our June workshop is all about paper making! Learn how to create your own designs on hand-dipped screens using dried flowers, spices, raffia and more. Many kinds of fibers can be used to make paper. In many places in Asia, the mulberry plant is still used to produce large sheets of handmade papers that are placed outside in hot weather to dry. We will use recycled cotton paper combined with abaca pulp and dry the paper in the June sun. This activity is for all abilities. You just have to be willing to get your hands a little wet.

This workshop is led by multimedia artist Charlotte Eckler, who has learned from expert artists but maintains an intuitive process that can be practiced by artists of all levels and abilities.
