The 11th Annual Family Fun Fishing Day Planning Committee

Next meeting Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at 3:30pm (virtual). 

This multi-organization collaboration meets virtually once a month. The event is scheduled for Sat. 5/16 (rain date 5/17). Join the Planning Committee and be part of something big in your community this Spring! Individuals served and staff are invited to join the Planning Committee.

About Family Fun Fishing Day

Join us for the 11th Annual Family Fun Fishing Day! This annual fishing event will be held at River Bend Farm in Uxbridge, MA on Saturday, May 16th (rain date 5/17). This event is free and open to all abilities/experience levels.

  • Activities for all ages

  • Food truck and ice cream

This event is hosted by Open Sky Community Services, Blackstone River National Heritage Corridor Volunteers-in-Parks Program, Blackstone River Watershed Association, Massachusetts Department of Conservation & Recreation, Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife.

Volunteers are crucial to event success! Our biggest needs are assistance with set up/breakdown and manning tables and fishing stations. See important fishing day roles here. 

 

Register for this Friendly Fishing Competition

Pre-registration opens Wednesday, April 15th.

This is a free event, but registration is required. Be sure to register early here to reserve your spot (and fishing rods if needed).
