The Spaulding R. Aldrich Heritage Gallery 50 Douglas Road, Whitinsville, MA
Catherine Kirsch, Leslie Graff & Victor Pacheco
Textiles, paintings and sculpture
Opening reception Friday, November 9, 2018 from 4:30-7:30 PM.
Three well respected and talented artists, all members of Arts Worcester, share their love of color and process in a dynamic exhibit that includes textile art, paintings and sculpture.
Catherine Kirsch layers dye, paint, stitch and imagery on cloth in much the same way a painter layers acrylics on canvas, creating colorful, innovative and original textile art. (top left image, East of the Sun and West of the Moon)
Inspired by Art Nouveau and mid-century periodical illustration, Leslie Graff paints in a palette of confident, expressive colors as she explores the meaning and richness of life in ordinary things. (top middle image, On the Surface)
Victor Pacheco’s colorful sculptural work is an introspection of identity formation where multiple viewpoints of identity are engaged. (top right image, Selfie)
Together this exhibit promises to be an incredible display of color, texture and form with luxuriously vibrant and expansive hanging textile art, richly detailed colorful paintings and touchable larger than life sculpture. A true banquet for the senses!
Please join us at the opening reception for a chance to meet these three amazing artists and learn more about their work and processes.
Exhibit ends December 28.
