Suessical Jr.

Horton the Elephant, the Cat in the Hat and all of your favorite Dr.Seuss characters spring to life onstage in Seussical Jr., a fantastical musical extravaganza from Tony-winners, Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty.

Transporting audiences from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus, the Cat in the Hat narrates the story of Horton the Elephant, who discovers a speck of dust containing tiny people called the Whos. Horton must protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, and he must also guard an abandoned egg that's been left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!

About Stepping Stone Community Theater

Stepping Stone Community Theater is a non-profit theater company that provides opportunities for individuals with and without disabilities to participate together in a high quality, engaging, inclusive theater experience.

Stepping Stone Community Theater was founded in 1996, when the mother of a young man with disabilities became concerned that she was unable to find a program or arts organization that could accommodate her son's desire to participate in the performing arts. She approached Mary Pantano, a theater art professional, and together they formed Stepping Stone Community Theater. Their first play, Cinderella Wore Combat Boots, was performed at a small VFW hall for an excited audience of 45 people. The Show was a complete success and laid the foundation for the Stepping Stone as we know it today.

SEUSSICAL JR is presented through special arrangement with Musical Theater International (MTI). All authorized performance materials are also supplied by MTI. WWW.MTIShows.com

Performances will be held June 26th at 7pm, June 27 at 7pm & June 28 at 2pm.

Auditions & Rehearsals located at the Singh Performance Center

Tech week & Performances located at Northbridge Middle School Auditorium
