The purpose of Night to Shine is to create an unforgettable prom experience, centered on God's love, for people with special needs. Every guest will enter on a red carpet and be greeted with a warm welcome, friendly crowd, and "paparazzi." Guests will receive the royal treatment with hair and makeup stations, shoe shining stations, limousines rides, corsages and boutonnieres, a karaoke room, a catered dinner, prom favors, a Respite Room for parents and caretakers, and of course dancing!

Volunteers Needed for Night to Shine

Open Sky's Community Membership Department partners with Valley Chapel each year by volunteering and promoting this event to individuals we serve. Please consider volunteering and helping to create this special night.

Night to Shine is an annual worldwide event led by the Tim Tebow Foundation that celebrates individuals with special needs ages 14 and older. It is a faith-based volunteer driven prom experience hosted by local churches and community groups held simultaneously each February. The 2026 event is coordinated by Valley Chapel and held at Faith Fellowship Church.

Event Date: Friday, February 13th, 2026

Time: 6:00pm-9:00pm (volunteers need to arrive by 4:30pm)

There will be hosting 2 mandatory training sessions in January. You only need to attend 1 of the 2. During the training session, they will cover everything you need to know to ensure a smooth and joyful experience for our guests. This will also be a great opportunity to meet your fellow volunteers and ask any questions you may have.
