Four Free Performances

brought to you by Poets at Large in connection with ValleyCAST

Fourteen published and recognized poets will read in a poetry/spoken word series this year. The four events are free to the public and will include an open mic segment for audience members, as time allows, following intermission. Open Mic participants will read up to five minutes each and will sign up at the start of each event. Events will take place rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, outside events will move indoors to the Singh Performance Center at the same location.

The first event on March 19th (snow date March 26) presents Jovonna Van Pelt, author of Unrelated Questions, Karen Warinsky, former Montreal Prize finalist and author of Gold in Autumn, and National Beat Poet Laureate (2020) Paul Richmond, author of several books including You Might Need a Bigger Hammer, The 24 Hour Store was Closed, and his latest, Swimming on the Titanic. Richmond operates Human Error Publishing and is a member of psychedelic funk band, Do It Now. Open Mic reader Robert Eugene Perry is the author of four books including Surrendering to the Path, and his newest, Earthsongs, will be released this year.
