In response to Governor Charlie Baker’s goal of expanding employment opportunities for populations facing chronic unemployment, Blackstone Valley Tech and Lowe’s Home Improvement Store of Milford recently broke ground on a renovation project benefiting Alternatives Unlimited, Inc., a not-for-profit agency dedicated to improving the lives of persons with psychiatric or developmental disabilities by offering a wide range of residential, employment, and day services.

Once complete, the Victorian Era carriage house will feature multipurpose spaces to host classes and training programs for individuals served by Alternatives.
