Temporary Suspension and/or Changes to Program Operations

March 2020

In response to Governor Baker’s order limiting gatherings of more than 25 people, beginning Monday, March 16, we are temporarily suspending on-site operations at Open Sky’s Day Habilitation programs, Employment Services and Clubhouse Services until further notice. Our Safe Homes and ZIA programs were previously suspended and will be changing the way that services are provided, i.e., from direct / face-to-face to other modes (telephonic, mobile, etc…). The health and safety of the individuals we serve must be our first priority and we are certain that this is the best course of action under the current circumstances. We will revisit these operational changes and share any updates we may have by April 6th.

In addition, we will be restricting access to all of our residential programs, other community-based locations, satellite offices and administrative offices to Open Sky employees only until April 6th in order to reduce the risk of contagion to both individuals served and our staff. We apologize for any inconvenience, but please know that this decision was made with everyone’s best interest in mind.  Individuals wishing to visit a person in one of our group living environments are encouraged to call the program director to explore alternative arrangements, e.g., telephone, Skype, etc…We thank you for your patience and understanding.
