Open Sky offers professional development trainings on topics relevant to program and agency needs. At the time of hire, employees receive up 40 hours of agency wide trainings to get them started in their new position and oriented to Open Sky. That is just the beginning of our acclaimed training program which provides challenging and enriching learning opportunities on an ongoing basis.  

Competency Based Training

Open Sky provides professional skill development training that includes training in Evidence Based Practices. These competency based trainings require employees to meet specific competency requirements.  Evidence Based Practice Trainings include (among others):

• Illness Management and Recovery (IMR)

• Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)

• Wraparound Services

• Supported Education and Employment (SEE)

Training Institute

The Bridge Training Institute offers continuing education workshops for psychologists, social workers, counselors, educators and nurses. All participants receive Continuing Education Credits. Employees attend for free!
