Autism Individual Supports

Open Sky helps adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder build independence, confidence, and stronger connections in their communities. Our goal is to support each person’s life plan while promoting choice, self‑advocacy, and inclusion.

Who We Serve

Adults age 18+ with an ASD diagnosis who are supported by the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services.

Supports are based in Worcester and available to individuals living across Central, South Central, and North Central Massachusetts—in their homes and in the community.

What We Provide

Our Individual Supports Program offers case management and personalized skill‑building to help people live more independently. Supports may include community engagement, relationship‑building, social skills practice, travel training, budgeting, appointment management, and self‑advocacy.

Our Team

Staff are highly trained in autism‑specific approaches and clinical models, and receive strong supervision so they can deliver high‑quality support.

How Referrals Work

DDS sends referrals to Open Sky. After an intake meeting and assessment, we work with the individual (and anyone they choose to involve) to create a Life Plan that outlines goals and needed supports.

Additional Services

We can connect individuals to employment supports, education supports, clinical therapies like CBT or DBT, and in‑home clinical services for families.

Open Sky also provides Adult Family Care services for caregivers who need guidance and financial support.
