Alternatives' Whitin Mill
ValleyCAST, in collaboration with the Yellow Tulip Project, will be hosting its first Hope Day celebration on Saturday, May 1st to kick off Mental Health Awareness Month. This event is a celebration of resilience and community, featuring music by The Promise is Hope, poetry, speeches, wellness offerings, and a chance to admire our yellow tulips in full bloom.
The tulips were planted with the Yellow Tulip Project last fall along with community members from the Whitin Community Center and NOWA Peer Recovery Support Center. The Yellow Tulip Project is a youth driven non-profit that is fiercely dedicated to mental health stigma reduction, community building, and helping people know that there is help and hope out there.
This event will take place from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at the Alternatives' Whitin Mill in Whitinsville. Pre-registration is required for COVID safety. Please email ValleyCAST Assistant Director of Community Outreach, Michelle Sayles at michelle.sayles@openskycs.org to register.
