In conjunction with our Weaving Community Exhibit, ValleyCAST is creating a Fence Weaving Mural on the Community Plaza!
Fence Weaving is a fun way to add art to an ordinary area! As a community we will build a flower garden, pond, under the sea scene and a rainbow across the plaza fence. There is a lot of space to fill and we will need a lot of help! Come to the plaza and see the outlines for the project and join us during our fence weaving sessions to help create this wonderful masterpiece!
Keep an eye out as new Sessions will be added to the schedule if there are still spaces on the fence that need to be filled!
Please be aware all fence weaving sessions are weather permitting!
Schedule
Walk-in - 1 hour session
Walk in participants are welcome on Tuesdays from 1pm - 2pm starting August 8th. Participants can check in at the Gallery and are able to help for any duration of time during the walk-in period.
Group Workshops - Between 30 minutes to 3 hours
If you have a group that would like to participate you can schedule a private workshop in August and September. All workshops are weather dependent. To schedule your workshop please email mary.laliberte@openskycs.org
Community Days - 2 hour sessions
Pre-registration is highly encouraged during community days. Community days will consist of a 2-hour fence weaving session. Participants can help for any duration of time during the community days designated availability. Walk ins are welcome but we ask that you pre-register if you are a larger group by emailing: mary.laliberte@openskycs.org

Date: Tuesday, August 22nd Time: 1pm-3pm
Date: Wednesday, August 23rd Time: 10am - 12pm
Date: Saturday, September 16th Time: 10am - 12pm
During the Concert Series
Areas of the fence that are not obstructed by the band will be worked on during select free summer concerts depending on the weather.
Dates: August 10th, 17th and 24th
Time: 5:30pm - 8pm
